I was invited to a black tie wedding. I had already visited two dept stores with no luck on finding anything for a petite. I am 5ft and 150 lbs. I am a slightly bottom heavy w/a little belly. When I tried on the dress, it fit wonderfully, even minimizing my stomach. Out of the package and in my barefoot, the length is about an inch on the floor. I have determined it will need to be hemmed about 3.5-4 inches to avoid it dragging on my shoes which will have a 2.5 inch heel. Other than that, the color and cut are beautiful and is comfortable w/ stretch for dancing and sitting. This brand is sold at one of the major dept stores for almost $90 more, so even with the hemming, I should come out considerably ahead.This dress was awesome.It is elegant and perfect to hide what you do not want to show too much : arms, hips belly. Actually I want to add that it works as well for someone athletic. A classic, no Brainerd, for formal to very formal. I got it for my mother, last minute fancy wedding. We add to do a 2 inches trim wearing her 3 inches ?. But she is 1m58. Size 16 was perfect the dress has some belly stretch. I love you can travel with it no wrinkles. Glamorous, not old looking. My mother is a preppy 77 years old. She thanked me so much.I want to highlight the incredible service I got. An unbelievable help from the merchant. I had done a color mistake. He helped me so much to get the right color on time. ( I paid a FedEx ). He was a saviour , very responsive. We picked the dark blue. The gold and silver were beautiful but my mother wanted something more discreet. You will not be disappointed, go for it.Special note to the vendor let me know when you will make it in black. I felt comfortable and pretty in this dress all day long during my daughter’s wedding and I received so many compliments!!I ordered this as an emergency back up dress for my son’s wedding since my seamstress ruined my original dress. The petite size was too long (I am 5’1”). The shoulders were a bit wide and the fabric does not breathe. It would have been too hot to wear for a June wedding. Luckily I was able to fix my original dress myself so I returned this. It was very flattering and hides a large belly nicely.Beautiful dress for someone who doesn't have a belly that they want to hideI'm 5' tall and about 110 lbs and the 2P fit me well. I had to hem it about 1 1/2" so that my heels would not get caught in the fabric. I wore it in 80 degree weather at my daughter's wedding and it was not too hot. I can’t wait to wear this!This is the first time I’ve bought a dress online and it worked out beautifully I was looking for a dress for my daughter’s wedding and wanted something that wasn’t low cut and came down almost to the ankles. I had no intention of wearing pantyhose, haven’t done that in 25 years so I was able to get away with kneehighs which was a bonus. This dress is a beautiful colour with just the right amount of glitz, it’s fully lined with a zipper up the back. You can wash it on gentle cycle in the washer, no dry cleaning bills! Size wise I was between a 12 and 14 and decided to go with the 12 and it fit beautifully. This was the first dress I ordered and it turned out to be the last I didn’t have to look at any others. Lots of texture with the rosettes with a little sparkle. Length is perfect for 5'4" with heels; no hemming required. Very comfortable to wear. Dress is heavier in weight so perfect for Spring, Fall and Winter events. Might be too hot in summer.Perfect dress!I purchased this dress for the wedding of my daughter. The shade of blue isn't too dark nor too bright. This is a really comfortable dress, and very attractive. It hides figure flaws quite well! It is a bit embellished with beads and sequins, adding some brightness and spark I didn’t want an old matronly look, nor a sleeveless , strapless , or off the shoulder either. It is modern, flattering, and comfortable, so would recommend it after searching for some time.I bought this same dress in navy for a wedding 3 years ago, and it is so comfortable and simple and fits well as it falls away from the body. Perfect for a Mother-of the-Groom! I can't wait to wear it next month for my son's wedding.
